Happy Halloween

Halloween is so much FUN! I love fall time and the traditions that we have as a family. It seems like the week of Halloween is so busy. We are always trying to fit everything into a week. From the pumpkin walk, picking out pumpkins, making costumes, carving pumpkins, going to mountains for fall pictures, and then on Halloween night we go around and see all our great grandparents, then to see our parents, we always end up at my mom and dad's house for chili and cornbread-YUM! and then out trick or treating around our neighborhood. So this is how our week played out this year...I usually attempt to make all our costumes-but when the boys seen the costumes that they wanted in an ad about a month ago I was not going to argue! So we went and bought them ASAP...Mason the pumpkin wizard-as he calls himself
Marshal as Bumblebee-THE TRANSFORMER:) When we told people he was going to be bumblebee they would look at me a little strange-like I would dress him up as an actual BEE!

and Abbie sweet Abbie as a cute little lady bug

So on Halloween night we seen some of our cousins and all our grandparents...

a fun tradition that the kids and I do is always make pumpkin chocolate chip cookies-yum! Marshal couldn't wait to taste them, I am just glad that the machiene was unpluged:)
We carved our pumpkins, we let the boys draw the faces on them and then Mike carved them just the way they wanted it-and this is how they turned out-

I think this year I had the most fun making Abbie's costume. A while back when my sister and I was talking about costumes. She was just going to use a frog costume that I had with Mason-it is adorable (for a boy). So a couple days latter I was up at children's place in the mall and seen the cutest striped tightes and instantly thought lady bug! So I bought a pair for Abbie and Kate-I took them to my sister and explained the costume I had in mind, when we got both of our brains working together, which is a little scary but we are totally unstopable when we are together. We both had ideas for the costumes-and together we came up with these cute little ladybugs-
